HAW.INTERNATIONAL - FACT FINDING MISSION GREECE
The four-day mission, organised by DAAD within the framework of the HAW.International programme and funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research, aimed to give the German participants the opportunity to get acquainted with the Greek higher education system and to meet potential partners.
Greece and Germany have a long tradition in education and good academic and research relations. Greek students are strongly represented in German universities, which is the third country of Greek student inflow with over 7,000 Greeks studying in German universities in 2023, while Greece is also attractive for German students. The two countries aim to increase cooperation in research and education. Partnerships within the EU offer opportunities for small-scale mobility, such as blended learning courses or summer schools, which are a good option for students who do not want a longer stay abroad.
With this background, the German delegates explored opportunities for cooperation with Greek universities and research institutions and established valuable university and business networks, which are expected to bring the two countries even closer together.
